Joining Hands to Empower Enterprises and Communities in Cambodia and South East Asia

Belt & Road Capital Partners (BRCP) and Smart Trade Networks and have executed a collaboration memorandum of understanding to work with each other to promote digital transformation and capacity building through Cambodia and elsewhere in South East Asia.
BRCP operates across South East Asia, from its base in Phnom Penh, in Cambodia. Some of the key areas of collaboration contained in the MOU are:
BRCP will act as a country representative in Cambodia for Smart Trade Networks
BRCP and Smart Trade Networks will partner and collaborate on the Mekong Electrification
Project
BRCP and Smart Trade Networks will partner and promote digitalization, computing, AI, Large
Language Models, cross-border trade and the Halal Economy
Jointly cooperate to provide education services, media content and education partnerships
that can drive developments and improved applications of bio- and agricultural sciences, digital trade, digital currencies, cross-border trade, business and law, area studies and other complimentary fields of research and education.
BRCP founder, Dr Digby Wren welcomed the collaboration, saying that, “a proven systems thinking approach coupled with a track record in leading education digitalisation R&D and application as demonstrated by the team at Smart Trade Network will play an important role in the development of Cambodia’s economy, as well as those of other nations in South East Asia.”
Warwick Powell, Adjunct Professor and Founding Chair of Smart Trade Networks said, “our team is looking forward to contributing to the empowerment of communities in South East Asia, and this partnership is an important step forward in this regard. Digitalisation can play an important role in ensuring economic development opportunities are available in a fair and equitable manner, supporting the improvement of living standards.”
“Fair and equitable economic development is a key part of achieving regional stability and peace. Peace and stability are one side of the coin; fair and equitable development is the other. This collaboration will, we believe, contribute to the realisation of prosperity and peace in our region,” he said.
