For thousands of years, the Loong, or Chinese dragon, has been a symbol of good luck, vitality, wisdom and dignity. China's two largest rivers, the Yangtze and the Yellow River, are often described as two giant Loongs, and Chinese people refer to themselves proudly as "descendants of the Loong."
